Regeln zum Copyright

Liebe Leserin, lieber Leser,

Was Sie beachten müssen?

Dear Readers,

Would you like to quote a single sentence or, maybe, several sentences from one of our articles? Go right ahead! But you need to keep a few rules related to Germany’s law on quotations in mind if you plan to do so. What exactly? Here’s an overview.

As a rule, you are allowed to use quotations to a reasonable degree. We interpret this to mean: Three sentences, along with a headline and possibly the teaser, are perfectly fine – as long as you include a link to our text – even if the law of quotations may allow less. If you plan to use the quotation for advertising purposes or to provide it to a third party as part of a business transaction, please contact us in advance at info@fidelity-magazin.de.(Exception: quotations that appear on the backs of books may be used at any time without permission.)

You must consult with us first if you plan to use longer quotations or post an entire text online or in other electronic media. Such requests should be sent to info@fidelity-magazin.de.

Our RSS feeds (or other news channels like Facebook and Twitter that we offer) or Google + may always be used for private purposes. If you plan to use a feed on another site, you must link it to our texts.

You should consult with us in advance about the use of our feeds for business purposes if your business model extends beyond the traditional advertising financing of your site. Please contact us at info@fidelity-magazin.de. For instance, if you plan to include our feed in an paid online service, we would like to be informed in advance. In contrast, we have no objection if you plan to incorporate our feed, unedited, into your blog.

Search engines and aggregators must observe Germany’s ancillary copyright law for press publishers. If you need assistance regarding this issue, please contact us at info@fidelity-magazin.de. Quotations, links and private usage within the copyright framework described here are permitted as a matter of principle.

Images or videos included in our texts and feeds are generally owned by a copyright proprietor from whom a license must be requested. Screenshots of our pages may be used as long as they serve direct documentary purposes.

In addition, normal copyrights also apply: We, that is, FIDELITY Media GmbH, reserve all rights to the articles on our website.

Questions? You can contact us any time at info@fidelity-magazin.de.
