Danny Kaey, Autor The year was 1982. The place was Vienna; I was the ripe age of 11, and then it magically happened: I became addicted to HiFi. The rest as they say, is history. Playing music - records - on my brother’s big boy HiFi, I simply couldn’t resist the draw. With no money in my Levi’s, I played music via boom boxes, the car stereo, or the boarding school’s Thorens turntable connected to a Sansui receiver. 7000 records later, my international home became Fidelity Magazine, where you’ll read about my adventures from across the pond as the magazine’s US editor. When I’m not listening to music, you’ll find firmly trenched in the land of Apples, or, Cupertino, 1 Infinite Loop, to be more precise. 11 years and counting, I am living proof that the duality of Apple Music and records can in fact coexist rather nicely.
